IGMA Artisan Member
Artisan member and past President of IGMA, avid collector and creator of fine miniatures, Corky has lately come to her senses and joined the fun Hitty caretakers family!!!! Whatever project it is she undertakes for our woodens , you can count on finesse and exquisite craftsmanship...if it is a quaint work of art you are looking for, you have found the right address...she always surprises us with the best!
One of Hitty's specific needs is for fashion! Well, she has found just the right address...this lady has the golden touch! Hittys of all origins will find dresses for all occasions at Kay's ...and so will some of their wooden relatives!
We all know Hittys have lots of needs and are somewhat picky. A member of the Northeast Basketry Guild and Center for Maine Crafts, Marion Gray is creating superb baskets fit for our woodens who are fond of outdoor living. We welcome this new creator for Hitty!
This warm and immensely giving artisan brings talent, spunk and witt each year to Guild School, both as teacher and student. She and Hitty met in class and they bonded! So much so that Daniela's exceptional Microdolls now include minuscule Hittys!!!!
When you think needlework, her name pops up...in countless ways! From fine underwear to warm socks, from pirate costumes to warm coats for the far North and artful quilts, Kjerstin's fingers can make it appear!!!!
MARTHA MAXWELL & JACK HALL
Fine Books & Wood Furniture
Martha is Hitty's favorite fine books designer. She has a wonderful shop where the most discriminate woodens can source exquisite reading material. Martha occasionally expresses Hitty needs to her meticulous engineer dad and...magic happens!!!! Father/daughter creating...what better team? Did I mention Martha also caters to our discerning fashion conscious woodens' knitted wants? An all around Hitty friend and caretaker, Martha has a very special place in our hearts.
IGMA Fellow Member
A fine miniature maker for over 40 years, many times teacher at Castine, IGMA fellow Nancy Summers has recently been challenged by a long time dear friend to venture into Hitty world...the result is breathtaking! No doubt many a Hitty will need the comfort of her flawless upholstered chair and ottoman!!!
Meehan Antique Miniatures
In her quarters, Mamie enjoys the warmth and charm of old Europe. We all know her roots are French, so we let her have her way. Fine larger scale Boulle furniture and ormolu accessories are sourced from our dear expert friend Ann Meehan.
When she needs fine antique accessories, Mamie also likes to call on three of her special friends.
